Travel services from City Discovery, a leading provider of tours, activities and airport transfers, are now available through smart phones with the launch of mobile.city-discovery.com, a version of the company’s main website where over 5,000 travel experiences and ground transportation in 300 airports can be booked.

With the launch of mobile.city-discovery.com, we can now offer our customers booking services wherever they are, in a format that’s compatible with their smart phone’s browser.”
Accessible from all mobile phones with internet browsing capability, mobile.city-discovery.com has features that are very useful for mobile phone users and tailored for advanced devices like Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s Blackberry.

Its Geo-Targeting ability allows the site to display a link to the things to do in the destination where the user is, and with just a click you can call City Discovery’s nearest customer service branch for last minute bookings. We still recommend that travelers plan their trip before leaving, but we believe this mobile version will be very helpful to travelers who were not able to book their activities in advance.” Guez adds.
The site also gives users the option to directly access booking vouchers from their phones. Soon, vouchers sent to mobile devices will be accepted as legitimate vouchers by City Discovery’s activity providers.
“Mobile applications offer a unique potential to revolutionize the travel industry," according to Guez. City Discovery is one of the first in the travel industry to use the Short Message Service in mobile phones to confirm bookings and remind customers about their booking details. In addition, Guez says his development team is currently developing a system that allows customers to access local travel information and advice directly on their phone.
