Sphere of the Lycanthrope, has been the recipient of 2 best horror feature film awards, as well as being nominated in 3 other categories including Best Actor. The film has created a buzz in the film world for its low budget, despite a huge cast. It has also created a buzz among film fans because the movie, described by its producers as a “thrillomody’” is widely entertaining.
Now fans of the film will have a blog to call their own, lycanthropefans.blogspot.com. The website is the brainchild of Daniel Wilder, a video game tester, by trade. Dan is also an artist, a photographer and a self-described “horror movie addict”. He also describes himself as a “true Renaissance geek.” Dan started the blog after viewing the film and seeing the fan base grow: “it seemed a place was needed for fans to find out up to the minute info, hear from the creators, and voice their opinions on this hugely entertaining film!”
Dan encourages other fans of “The Sphere of the Lycanthrope” to share their comments about the film as well: “this will be the fans source for everything Sphere of the Lycanthrope related, by a fan for the fans!” The site will also feature occasional comments from the films writers, producers, director and stars so that fans will have direct contact with the principals of the movie. According to Wilder the site is, “Fully endorsed by the films creator, the ever awesome David Stay, and his partners Keith Grening and Ford Austin.”
Dan also encourages fans to email him directly at Lycanthropefans[.]gmail.com, “to let me know what I can do to make the page even better!”
Meanwhile, “the Sphere of the Lycanthrope,” continues to grow in popularity. The film is set to be screened at several more film festivals over the next few months, and is available on DVD directly from the producers and at various horror movie sites and stores. The filmmakers are currently working on the sequel, “THE SPHERE of ANTONDIOQUAZGAA.”
