Curvy, professional women have a new option in finding fashion forward, comfortable, high quality clothes with the launch of Fleur Féminine’s Love Collection. The new line by Colleen Pound will officially be launched in Calgary, Friday November 13, 2009 at NAKED Clothing. The first of its kind in Canada, The Love Collection is a bridge designer collection for women sized 12-24, who appreciate sophisticated design, high quality fabrics and impeccable fit.
“Like many women, I struggle to find stylish, well made clothes in Canada,” says Pound, who sees a huge gap in the market for dressing women over size 10. “The Love Collection is for those women who love their curves and love fashion but are left behind by most brands.”
A recent Statistics Canada study show that roughly 30 per cent of Canadian women now wear size 12 and up, and South of the border nearly two-thirds of women are considered ‘plus sized.’ The Love Collection, Pound’s first collection, consists of 18 pieces including dresses, suits and stylish separates. The clothes range from $150 for a shirt to $450 for a jacket.
Currently, Fleur Féminine’s clothing is produced and manufactured in Canada, with a full catalogue available online at fleur-f.com and until November 28 women can be professionally fit by Medeana Moussa at NAKED and place their orders.
