Quirk turned to Annodyne for strategic support in extending the buzz around their popular book series and to develop a fully interactive web destination complete with social media tie-ins.
Annodyne developed a media strategy and subsequent online advertising campaign to generate brand awareness for their summer 2009 release, “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,” the first novel in the original Quirk Classics mash-up series. Part of Annodyne’s online media strategy included the creation of motion graphic banner ads which received over thirteen million impressions. The ads highlighted “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’” 16-week run on "The New York Times" best seller list and as the latest pick for Oprah Winfrey’s "25 Books You Can’t Put Down."
To build upon the campaign’s success, Quirk also engaged Annodyne to develop an interactive, social media enriched website that resulted in a destination for fans to learn about, read from and comment on the Quirk Classic book line. The site launched on the eve of Halloween, in conjunction with the announcement of the upcoming Quirk Classic, a prequel to “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” slated to release in March 2010.
