Small Giants Responds to the Economic Crisis within the A/E/C Industry through Seminar Series

(Newswire Today) —  Phoenix, AZ, United States, 2009-11-03 - Marketing communications firm, Small Giants hosted the third seminar in a series of five. The hands-on seminar explained the benefits of social media in relation to the current economic times, specifically within the commercial real estate industry.

Small Giants, LLC presented a social media seminar on Wednesday Sept. 30, making it the third seminar in a series of five to focus on marketing within the commercial real estate industry in an attempt to respond to companies changing market needs during this economic state.

“Now more than ever companies are looking for strategic and cost effective ways to market themselves. Social media, specifically, is a resource that can benefit those companies within the commercial real estate industry who are affected by downsizing marketing staff and economic conditions.” said Danielle Feroleto, president of Small Giants.

Led by Deirdre Booth, principal and Kimberly Mickelson, marketing associate the seminar explained various social media opportunities available to A/E/C companies within the commercial real estate industry. During the hands-on workshop, participants were shown how to effectively use sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

With five local companies in attendance, the seminar proved to be one of the most successful workshops to date.

“I really didn’t know how beneficial twitter could be and wasn’t really sure how to use and manage it... now I do. I specifically like that I am now ‘linked in’ with Small Giants and feel like if I had any questions you would still be willing to help,” said Courtnie Hartwigsen from PDI Construction.

To meet rising requests from previous seminar attendees as well as professions within the A/E/C industry, Small Giants (smallgiantsonline.com) plans to present a second social media seminar towards the end of the year.

Previous seminar topics included proposal writing and Top 10 Marketing Tactics in a Down Economy. The fourth and fifth seminars will spotlight strategic planning and business development.

“With our sole focus and experience as a company involving the A/E/C industry, we are able to combine our knowledge of marketing and commercial real estate to present seminars that are relevant and useful to companies during this economic time,” said Feroleto.
