By showing potential singles cruisers what kind of fun they can expect to have onboard, one lucky videographer captured the essence of the SinglesCruise.com program through her winning video contest entry. The winning video “SinglesCruise.com: Romance, Fun and Something Else” was created by Madel Orejel and received the most votes from the SinglesCruise.com online community.
During the singles cruise agency’s first online video contest “Why it’s Better to Travel Single, Never Alone”, SinglesCruise.com invited their community of travelers to help show others the benefits of traveling with a group of singles. Many of the solo cruisers took to the challenge and created imaginative and humorous videos based on their actual experiences onboard a past singles cruise.
“My experience traveling with SinglesCruise.com was fabulous and with my video I wanted to show that a singles cruise gives you the opportunity to meet fun, cool people, and if you are lucky, you may find your perfect match,” explained video contest winner Madel Orejel. “A singles cruise is a great vacation because it doesn't matter if you are single, divorced, widowed, or have kids.

“Our first video contest was a fun way to get our loyal singles cruise audience involved in telling our story to the public,” said Chris Parker, vice president of SinglesCruise.com. “Seeing videos created by actual past guests gives travelers a glimpse of what an organized singles cruise would be like.”
According to Parker, the initial video contest was such a success that they have announced a second video contest with a new theme, “SinglesCruise.com: Your New Addiction.” The contest is open now through February and invites single cruisers to cleverly show viewers why singles cruises can be so addicting.
