Donors will also brighten the holidays in our community by signing a gift tag for the Puppies for Patients Campaign. Adding to the festivities, a free grilled hotdog lunch will be served to donors. The blood drive will be held at the future site of the Wayne Brothers headquarters at 5350 Davidson Rd. in Davidson (on the corner of Davidson Rd. and Mooresville Rd. – just look for the CBCC Blood Mobile). Dorton explained that the Puppies for Patients is a campaign that serves the dual purpose of brightening the holidays for hospitalized kids while raising awareness of the need for blood for children. Blood donors will have the opportunity to sign a gift tag that will be attached to a stuffed puppy. Each puppy is presented to a child in a local hospital in the blood donor’s name.

The holiday season typically brings with it a blood supply shortage. Wayne Brothers, Inc. encourages its employees and neighbors to “give the gift of life” this season and donate blood on November 16th.
