The prestigious London museum has enlisted the services of Hit Search to aid the online marketing campaign of its retail website, V&A Shop.
The Liverpool-based digital outfit will be working on the V&A Shop site to improve its online presence via Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), with the aim of increasing traffic to the site and, ultimately, increasing the amount of purchases made from V&A Shop.
Hit Search director Andrew Redfern said: "This contract with V&A is a massive coup for us. Not only is it an excellent, established brand to work with, it sends a clear message of our ability to deliver and attract big name clients from all over the country.
"We hope to not only live up to V&A's expectations, but to exceed them greatly, as we help this historic institution to build upon their strong web presence."
The V&A Museum is, with a permanent collection of over four-and-a-half million objects. Established in 1852, its collection spans over 5000 years of exquisite art, from ceramics and portraits, to jewellery and sculptures.
Around two-and-a-half million visitors pass through the V&A's doors every year, and the V&A Shop (vandashop.com) allows those visitors to purchase a number of souvenirs related to the museum and its current exhibitions, from both the store located in the museum and its website.
Richard Wilkinson of V&A Shop said: "We're delighted to be working with Andy and the team at Hit Search in order to aid our online expansion. Hit Search's partnership approach makes for a closer working relationship through responsiveness and transparency, which will ultimately work towards delivering a better Return On Investment (ROI)."
