Cat Galaxy the internet radio and TV station just for cats is now airing its newest TV series The Street Cats Of Phoenix which chronicles the lives of cats that roam our city streets as well as those humans that rescue them. The show which is shot entirely in Phoenix will feature stories of cats not only being rescued but also ones that have been adopted and have a special story surrounding them. The show will also feature the animal rescue groups that often take in many cats in the hopes that they'll be adopted.
"Some of the stories featured will be heart warming and make you feel good, but some might make you want to help out those rescues that have dedicated their lives to saving these cats. Many cats are often dumped out on our city streets to fend for themselves. While the series might be entertaining to some we're hoping to educate the public that every cat deserves good care, respect, love and a new home with humans that truly value them," said Nohl Rosen of Cat Galaxy.
The first episode was shot at the Altered Tails Clinic in Phoenix and features feral (wild) cats being spayed and neutered as part of a TNR (trap, neuter, release) program.
"It's amazing just how many cats are spayed or neutered at these clinics in just one day. The animal rescue groups that are involved in TNR are very dedicated individuals and it shows strongly. The first episode was a somewhat challenging piece but will certainly show that free roaming cats need just as much help from us humans if they're to survive. Many feral cats are euthanized at local shelters because they're un-adoptable. The public needs to realize that they can save a lot of these cats by simply having theirs spayed and neutered. TNR works, but it needs human involvement," Rosen added.
