While companies looking to deploy digital signage networks were once limited to PC-based media players, today’s digital signage providers continue to develop new, lower-cost hardware alternatives. Digital signage software provider Scala and digital signage appliance supplier NEXCOM have partnered to deliver several flexible, high-performance and cost-effective media players certified to run on Scala.
NEXCOM’s NDiS 540 media player, driven by an AMD Athlon™ processor, features high-level graphics capabilities and supports four DVI outputs. Using Scala, NDiS 540 users may plan media layouts varying from four independent contents to two-by-two formats.
Scala is now also compatible with NEXCOM’s industrial-grade NDiS 162 media player. Powered by an AMD Athlon™ 64 processor with fanless design, it supports multiple zones in dual displays. Paired with Scala, the NDiS 162 is ideal for environments that require a network to operate around the clock with continuous content updates.
