	US President, Barack Obama, has named the new US Ambassador to Japan, lawyer John V. Roos, who enjoys the President's enormous trust. Ambassador Roos previously worked as a Silicon Valley lawyer helping IT companies such as Google achieve market listings. One of the first places the Ambassador chose to visit in Japan was Hiroshima, which suffered from the atomic bomb in 1945. In Japan, the Ambassador will deal with the new government led by Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama who is calling for close and equal Japan - US partnership. His government is poised to end Japan's refueling mission in the Indian Ocean in search for new ways to help reconstruct Afghanistan.
