Plustek Technology Inc., a provider of surveillance and imaging solutions, will host a half day seminar discussing network security and surveillance with network video specialists Axis Communications on November 5th at Manchester University Conference Centre, Fallowfield Campus.
Attendees will gain a better understanding of current and future developments within the field of mobile surveillance. On the day, Plustek and Axis will provide delegates with an in-depth appreciation of the type of solutions and approaches available to today’s security market. Registration is from 9am with teas, coffees and pastries. Presentations will run through to midday where delegates can enjoy a buffet and view available solutions.
At the event, which is supported by the IP UserGroup and IPfocus Magazine, Plustek will demonstrate its mobile network video recorder specifically designed for public transit applications. Engineered to withstand the heavy vibrations generated by vehicles and temperature fluctuation, the NVR 4200V is built for dependability, long life and low maintenance.
The NVR 4200V is the ideal choice for mobile surveillance in all types of public and commercial vehicles such as taxis, vans, buses, trains, trams, limousines and heavy goods vehicles because it can multiplex record up to four cameras at up to 60fps, while concurrently handling panic/system alarms, processing GPS positing data, transmitting positional co-ordinates via SMS and using intelligent power management. Operating on a Linux framework, the NVR 4200V is less vulnerable to virus attack and offers much lower power consumption than PC-based surveillance solutions.
Note to editors: Review samples of the Plustek NVR 4200V are available.
