This versatile design programme offers fast-assembly, free-standing desks for administration and executive areas, full systems for the general office, as well as simple, stylish bench solutions.
Oblique is available in wood veneer (maple, walnut or cherry) with a stainless steel frame, and with a simple silver leg frame and maple, oak or beech finish mfc; both maintain the pure lines of this stylish furniture system.
Complementing the desks is a full range of individual and departmental storage solutions.
From a basic platform for meeting and conferencing needs to a sophisticated workstation with comprehensive screen-based, at-hand third level storage, Oblique meets the diverse and changing dynamics of the workplace with style and ease.
Developments in workplace furniture from VERCO at Design Prima this year were spearheaded by e-smart, the latest spin off from the company's v-smart brand.
v-smart secured substantial interest at launch in 2002 for its unique under-seat mechanism utilising simple spring technology and gravitational force enabling the chair to adapt to user body weight in order to provide requisite support and comfort in a truly dynamic posture.
Now VERCO has fused that mechanism to an over-wrapped seat back taken from Ergoform, another success in its quest for optimum user support.
Ergoform automatically supports the pelvic girdle and so prevents the rearward rotation of the pelvis leaving the spine remove remains in the more stress-neutral, lazy ‘S’ curvature, reducing pressure on the spinal musculature, ligaments and inter-vertebral discs and so providing longer-term comfort for chair users.
Winner of a FIRA Ergonomics Excellence Award, the chair has found favour with corporate specifiers including BT, Abbey, Barclays and Woolwich.
v-smart itself put in an appearance at Design Prima with a further development in a new automatic seat lock: tucked away from sight, it left the chair’s supple design to continue to speak for itself.
Commenting on Design Prima 2006, VERCO sales and marketing director Chris Riley said:
“As a volume supplier making inroads into the architectural and design sector, we clearly had the right products for this show.
“Our stand was constantly busy over the three days with peak activity on Wednesday and a far busier Thursday than we would normally expect for the last day.
“We will be looking to invest again in Design Prima as we continue to build our relationships and business levels with the A&D community.”
