Web TV Enterprise has secured a total of 20 online video ad-campaigns across its network in October 2009, compared to five campaigns placed by the company in the same month last year. The campaigns are running across more than 70 of the network’s premium channels, reaching a wide selection of audiences.
This record-breaking month was also reflected in the number of pre-roll adverts booked, with Web TV Enterprise expecting to serve more than eight million advertising spots for a variety of leading brands including COI, LG, Fox Film, Sony Music, WKD and Unilever. In October 2008, by comparison, the number of pre-roll advertisement views stood at approximately 1.5 million.
These figures support the findings of The Online Video Advertising Buyers’ Guide published by Web TV Enterprise last month. The report revealed that media buyers are planning to increase spend on video advertising by 50% over the coming year.
“The fact that campaigns have quadrupled year on year backs up our belief that online video advertising is now at a tipping point in the UK market,” said Jamie Estrin, MD of Web TV Enterprise. “Video advertising is experiencing huge growth online and Web TV Enterprise is at the forefront. Brands are consistently reporting the benefits and confidence is continuing to grow in the medium.”
Web TV Enterprise is currently serving more advertising campaigns and more pre-roll adverts than in any other month previously.
