Gen Cole announced the ‘Circle of Love Benefit Concert for Christina,’ being held January 2, 2010 at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA, starting at 8:00 pm. Christina Gorski, a 27-year old young mother of one and fulltime college student, was thrown from a motorcycle when the driver of the motorcycle attempted to avoid a car that had stopped suddenly in the road. She was thrown into oncoming traffic and ran over by a car on August 7, 2009. The driver that caused the accident left the scene and has yet to be located.
Christina suffered multiple fractures and lacerations, resulting in a broken pelvis, crushed sacrum (right side), and a ruptured bladder. She spent a total of 30 days in the hospital at ORMC (Orlando Regional Medical Center), Orlando, FL, and is expected to have a full recovery if she has access to rehabilitative physical therapy for the coming year.
The ‘Circle of Love Benefit Concert for Christina’ hosted by two of Atlanta’s most prominent international recording artists, Caroline Aiken (carolineaiken.com) and Yonrico Scott (yonricoscottband.com), will help Christina obtain the physical therapy necessary for her return to full mobility. "It is a generous gesture on behalf of Caroline and Yonrico to step forward like this and offer to host this benefit concert for Christina," says Gen Cole, music publicist and Christina’s mom. "Christina is a fulltime student at Valencia Community College and doesn’t have health insurance. And, although she applied for Medicaid, it has not been approved at this time. But, if and when it is, it still won’t be enough to cover her ever-increasing medical bills and this concert means so much to Christina," adds Cole.
Eddie’s Attic (eddiesattic.com), is a premier live music venue located minutes from Atlanta in beautiful Decatur, GA.
