Who could resist the allure of Monte Carlo! On Saturday, November 7th, attend the event of the year, as Desert Cancer Foundation magically recreates this legendary locale at the Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert for the 11th Annual Gift of Life Celebration.
Ironwood will be transformed into luxurious Monte Carlo, featuring a night of gambling fun, cocktails, live music, epicurean dining, as well as a rare wine auction – one of the most popular draws of the event each year. Upon walking through the door, guests will be transported to the sophisticated look, feel and excitement of a fabulous Monte Carlo casino.
“This is definitely not your typical gala,” said Charissa Farley, event chairperson and board member of the Foundation. “Imagine joining Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in their To Catch a Thief adventures. We’re offering a fantasy destination without actually having to travel. The ambiance will be intimate and special for everyone attending -- like bringing the French Riviera to the desert!”
The Gift of Life Celebration honors the local medical community that partners with Desert Cancer Foundation. DCF hopes to raise $100,000 at the gala. The funds help fuel the organization’s ability to assist Coachella Valley cancer patients who lack insurance or sufficient funds to pay for their medical care.
For wine collectors and connoisseurs, the gala’s auction will offer wines from small production wineries, not often found in stores. Wine lovers can browse rare selections by premier wineries such as Kosta Browne, Kathryn Kennedy Vineyards, Sea Smoke and Spring Mountain Vineyards.
The Gift of Life Celebration is presented by the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Desert Regional Medical Center. Additional sponsors include Baccarat Wine Vault of the Desert and Scott Burch Design.
The event will begin at 6:00 pm with cocktails, gambling, and the rare wine auction. Period or cocktail attire requested. Individual tickets for the gala are $350. Sponsor tables available for $3,500, $5,000 and $10,000
