Bloxx, the innovators in Web filtering, today announced that the company has maintained its recent strong sales growth by recording a 53% increase in revenues during the past sales quarter to 30 September 2009, compared to the same period in 2008. Demand for the company’s third-generation Web filtering appliance continues to increase, as customers seek to replace their legacy Web filters with a more effective solution to help improve staff productivity, minimise risk, improve network security and reduce costs.
Erik Suppiger, Senior Research Analyst at Signal Hill Capital Group LLC said, “In a market with relatively modest growth that has been impacted by significant cuts to IT budgets, Bloxx is achieving remarkable sales performance with its Web filtering solution.”
“This is a fantastic achievement in the face of a tough economic environment and aggressive pricing by many of our larger competitors,” adds Eamonn Doyle, Chief Executive Officer at Bloxx. “Growth has been excellent across all markets, especially in the UK and USA.“
Bloxx has also seen significant growth in its channel business.
Doyle explains, “We have had a growing number of resellers adding Bloxx to their portfolio or as a replacement for their existing Web filtering offering. It appears that many resellers have become frustrated by limited sales and marketing support from some of the more established vendors and the complexity of dealing with them. Recent news highlighting large Internet content filtering companies reducing their presence or pulling out of the UK has also been a factor. Resellers appreciate our no-nonsense approach to business, our proactive sales and marketing support and the fact that our product is extremely reliable and easy to sell.”
The company also expects to announce several new products in 2010.
Bloxx Web content filtering appliances, powered by Tru-View Technology, enables any organisation to deliver a safe and secure online environment for their users. The appliance, which is easy to deploy and simple to manage, allows organisations to minimise legal risks and liabilities, dramatically increase staff productivity by limiting access to non-work related Web content, reduce the amount of time IT teams spend dealing with Web access, and lower the risk of Web-borne malware incidents. In addition, the company’s no-cost-per-user pricing or license fees, means that IT budgets can be maximised.
About Bloxx Tru-View Technology
Bloxx Tru-View Technology uses internationally patent pending technology to analyse and categorise Web pages quicker and more accurately than other Web filters which use manual URL classification and keyword scoring alone.
Using advanced intelligent identification and analysis techniques, Tru-View Technology provides instant classification of Web content as soon as it is accessed, even if the content has not been seen by anyone before.
Bloxx Tru-View Technology helps organisations proactively manage users’ access to Web content which might lower productivity, expose the organisation to risk and liability or pose a network security threat.
An estimated 1.5 million + users already benefit from enhanced security and performance with low administration and no cost per user charges. Additional protection is provided via anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-phishing functionality.
Headquartered in the UK with sales offices in Holland, the USA and Australia, Bloxx (bloxx.com) offers appliance-based Web filtering for medium and large organisations in both the business and public sectors.
