KDHX, Saint Louis' award-winning, independent community radio and media arts organization, is pleased to announce it has been nominated in the category of "Biggest Community Resource" by CMJ, the nationally recognized New York-based, music trade industry organization.

The organization provides information and music discovery resources, and community to new music fans, professionals, and artists. The organization’s weekly music business trade magazine CMJ New Music Report is "the primary source for exclusive charts of non-commercial and college radio airplay and independent and trend-forward retail sales, and it produces CMJ New Music Monthly, the leading publication for the emerging music enthusiast."
Over the past three years KDHX has received several nominations and awards from national music organizations including PLUG, the online music group that recognizes the independent music community and sponsors music awards based on votes from music lovers from around the world. 88.1 KDHX was nominated for the 2008 PLUG Independent Music Awards; other awards include two from CMJ for the "Best Community Resource 2007" and "Best Community Outreach" 2006, and nominations for "Station of the Year" and "Most Eclectic Programming" in 2006.
In addition to the nomination by CMJ, 88.1 KDHX was awarded "Best Radio Station" by the Riverfront Times and in the publication's Readers' Choice vote in the newspaper’s Best of Saint Louis 2009 edition. The Riverfront Times also named KDHX morning host Cat Pick's Emotional Rescue "Best Rock Program". Additional awards over the past ten years by the Saint Louis' Riverfront Times include Readers' Choice Awards for "Best Radio Station," "Best Arts Institution," "Best Rock Program" and "Best Radio Personality," among others.
