The announcement was made this week by Veolia Transportation’s Regional Vice President for Northern California, Ron Bushman.
Eisenberg will oversee the shuttle bus service on the university campus, which includes service to the Stanford Medical Center, Hospital and Clinics, and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. This service also extends to two Caltrain stations that transport approximately 5,000 Stanford students, employees and faculty to the campus each day.

The current service, which launched September 1, 2009, is very popular on campus, utilizes 43 vehicles and operates seven days per week.
In making the announcement Bushman said, “Gregg has a keen sense of understanding of customer needs, and a track record of responding to their needs with competence and great care.”

Eisenberg has 14 years of transportation experience, having started his career in the car rental industry. In 2002 he moved to the public transportation sector accepting a position as the Lead Supervisor for the Regional Center for East Bay, a non-profit organization in California which provides miscellaneous services to people with disabilities. Prior to joining Veolia Transportation he was named General Manager for Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) in Northern California. In his first year as GM for AVTA Eisenberg reduced the accident frequency rate by 62%.
