Olympic® coach William Wayne Evans (“Coach Wayne”) and his wife, veteran Olympic® gymnast Zuzana Sekerova have cast their world-class votes for Savannah, Georgia and Savannah Mall.
Grand Opening events are Sunday, October 11, 2009, 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Savannah Mall for the opening of the first COACH WAYNE retail location in the United States. Zuzana Sekerova, two-time gymnast in the Athens 2005 and Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and World Cup Gold Medalist, will be on-hand to autograph Olympic® postcards.
With the opening of the couple's new retail location, Coach Wayne Evans is taking his own advice: Have Fun, Be Safe, Push Hard! “New jobs are news in this economy, and we've got a handful of new coaches joining us,” shares Coach Evans.
Like so many who come to Savannah, first for a visit or for a job, the former coach of Savannah College of Art and Design Cheerleading Team and a veteran coach in the world of Gymnastics, Tumbling and Cheerleading is putting his entrepreneurial spirit to work in Savannah.
“This is a big step for us as we expand to a retail storefront in Savannah Mall from our Internet-based shop. In addition to serving over 200 inquiries daily in the tumbling, cheerleading & gymnastic communities online, we offer six “Coach Wayne 2 Go” mobile training locations,” Coach Wayne adds. The SBAC [Small Business Assistance Corporation and First Chatham Bank have worked with Coach Wayne! Gymnastics to facilitate the expansion.
The Coach Wayne gymnastic center will feature exclusive apparel that is popular with international elite gymnastics teams -- IWA German gymnastics’ shoes and Christian Moreau French Leotards. New merchandise -- including gymnastic wear, European gym-shoes and gymnastics equipment -- is also available through the CoachWayne online store.
In Savannah Mall, the Coach Wayne gymnastic center is located on the upper level next to Payless Shoes and across from Champs. Enter through the food court (by the carousel) and turn left.
