CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions has received a $50,000 grant from the James Proctor Fund for Aged Men and Women, a fund of The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate. CICOA will use these funds for general operating support in Marion County to supplement state, federal and other private funding of programs and services.

“CICOA is facing rapidly increasing community demand for in-home services for seniors and people living with a disability,” said CICOA President and CEO Orion H. Bell IV. “Without community partners, we wouldn’t be able to meet that demand. CICOA is very grateful to the Indianapolis Foundation and will use these funds to continue providing people with access to resources and services and that will enable them to remain in their homes as long as possible.”

For the September 2009 grant round, The Indianapolis Foundation awarded $1,266,000 in grants to 24 organizations. The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of Central Indiana Community Foundation, is dedicated to ensuring that the quality of life in Marion County continuously improves and to helping where the needs are greatest and the benefits to the community are most extensive.
