In this new role he will lead emnos' support to clients such as Camelot and Sportingbet, whilst also developing the broader consulting and analytics proposition.
Alan Lowthorpe joins emnos from J Sainsbury's, where he was Head of Customer Insight covering the identification and actioning of insights from strategic through to operational levels. A key aspect of this role was to re-launch and embed the use of Nectar data within Sainsbury's and suppliers which resulted in significant improvements in using customer understanding for trading and retail decisions.
Prior to his insights role, he was part of the Sainsbury Corporate Strategy team. His projects among others included developing and implementing Sainsbury's pricing strategy and supporting Justin King's strategic review on becoming Sainsbury's CEO.
Before joining Sainsbury's, Alan was a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers). There he was involved in delivering assignments ranging from strategic reviews and M&A integration through to process improvement and cost reduction, working with clients such as British Aerospace, BT, Barclaycard, Ministry of Defense and Philips.
"We are delighted to welcome Alan on to the UK Board, bringing excellent consulting credentials, retail experience and customer insight expertise. With the UK business set to double in size this year, Alan will play a key role in leading clients and setting emnos emnos’ direction," comments Bob Willmott, Director of emnos UK.
