One of India’s largest ISPs YOU Telecom has debuted its digital cable television service featuring world-class on-demand offerings based on software and servers from SeaChange International (Nasdaq: SEAC). Dubbed YOU Multiplex, the on-demand entertainment service is available to YOU SCOD18 subscribers in Mumbai and will be introduced in Bangalore and Vizag later this year, ultimately reaching more than two million viewers across the world’s third-highest concentration of cable television subscribers and one of the fastest growing digital television markets.
Consisting of 3,000 hours of domestic and international action, romance, drama, comedy and classic movie titles, YOU Multiplex leverages the Scheduled TV content management platform from SeaChange, the company responsible for delivering billions of on-demand streams annually for cable and IPTV operators across Asia Pacific and the world.
