Internet marketing company ASL Marketing, Inc. has acquired virtual assistant company AssistantGirls.com in an effort to broaden its available services to clients, particularly published authors.
“I have used the services of AssistantGirls in the past, and found that they are very connected to their clients in a way I wasn’t expecting,” said ASL Director Martin LaSalle. “About a year later, I realized that they would make a great addition to our team here at ASL, and called them to see if they were interested in selling the business.”
AssistantGirls.com is a company providing virtual assistant services to a variety of clients, including mass mailings, typing and transcription, research and fact checking, bookkeeping, concierge and travel related services, and calendar maintenance. Since their work is provided virtually, from home offices, clients save money in the long run, since they only have to hire an assistant for the duration of a particular job.
For Alyson Mead, president and founder of AssistantGirls, the opportunity to join ASL Marketing was ideal for her growing business. "When I started AssistantGirls, I did so with a mission to provide high-quality service to my customers and to treat each and every client with the attention and respect they deserved. It's clear that ASL Marketing shares my business convictions that it's not just about the bottom-line, but how you define the bottom-line, and the keys to success."
LaSalle plans to utilize the services of AssistantGirls to help target authors. “We are already in the business of providing marketing and publicity solutions for authors selling books and trying to build a name for themselves. With the help of AssistantGirls, we can not only provide our clients with strategic marketing plans, we can do all of the administrative work in-house as well. Designing, advertising, copywriting, research and submissions can all be handled by the folks at this more than competent company,” said LaSalle.
“We hope to rival packaging houses in the way we service self-published authors, as well as those being published at traditional publishing houses. Publicity budgets are shrinking all over, and most authors will need help in breaking their book out. In helping authors to build a platform for the release of their book, we help them, the publishers, and the readers in various niche markets who may be hungering for specialized information.”
ASL Marketing will also launch a new website devoted to helping self-published authors find publicity, called Buzz My Book, in June of this year.
