Ryan’s Wine and Spirits announced their new website this month, featuring several new features, including a schedule of wine tastings, wine classes, and wine education (wine 101). The new website also shows bios of the staff, and a tour of their newly located store, which is 11,700 square feet, including an expanded Finger Lakes wine section in their Upstate New York section, which tripled in size. The new location also features a Fine Wine room with over 100 of the finest domestic and imported selections (temperature controlled), several of which are on the Wine Spectators top 100 list.
“We want to let everyone know we’re serious about wine, so we expanded our store size, especially our Finger Lakes wine section,” JR Miller, owner of Ryan’s Wine and Spirits says. Not only are New York wines featured, but wines on a global scale from California, France, South America, and everywhere in between. Fun and informative wine classes have also become an integral part of educating and interacting with the customer with a variety of topics, such as “What’s up from Down Under?”, “Wine 101”, and “Ladies Night”, which includes “Wine Bingo”, blind tastings, and prizes. Ryan’s understand that the wine industry has grown, and they’ve prepared to help consumers learn and understand wine by training their staff, who are always friendly and helpful to answer any questions. “To better serve our customers,” JR adds, “we’ve expanded our visibility out into the virtual world as well.”
The new website also includes their community of social media sites, including their blog, Twitter, and Facebook Pages, where fans can get the latest updates on what‘s happening with the wine industry, food and recipes, and news of the region. Consumers can also ask questions and comment, creating an interactive experience with the company, and its members.
