Epuramat to set up a mobile container waste water treatment system at the highway border crossing into Germany, for the purpose of relieving the burden on the existing municipal treatment facility.
Epuramat's container waste treatment facility was successful in convincing the SIDEST waste water syndicate during its search for a system which could relieve the existing municipal treatment facility near the highway border crossing into Germany.
"Box4Water" is a complete waste water treatment system which fits into a single 20’ container. The reason behind the enormous space savings is the "ExSep" pre-treatment module, which was specifically developed by Epuramat. The highly efficient and space-saving pre-treatment process conducted with the patent applied Extreme Separator substantially simplifies and relieves the cleaning of all subsequent treatment steps. These aspects also formed part of the decision criteria set by the Luxembourg-based SIDEST waste water treatment syndicate, which will use the "Box4Water" system beside one of the largest gas stations in Luxembourg. Due to its low space requirements, "Box4Water" can be easily integrated into the premises of the existing treatment facility, and is also able to supplement and increase the capacity of the existing facility due to its modular design.
In the long term there are plans to feed the waste water of the "Aire de Wasserbillig" to the municipal treatment facility in the port of Mertert, which is to be completed in approximately five years. SIDEST will then also be in a position to use "Box4Water" at another destination. The container-based building design of the facility provides for a simple portable application without long start-up periods.
The "Aire de Wasserbillig" gas station is one of the largest gas stations in Luxembourg. It is located on the A1/A44, close to the German border and the Luxembourg town of Wasserbillig, and handles extensive visitor traffic travelling in both directions on a daily basis.
