The Paso Robles Lions Club is proud to announce the election of a new addition to their leadership board: Angela Robinson was recently chosen by her fellow Lions to serve as Second Vice President. Next year, she is expected to serve as Vice President, and the following year she hopes to preside as President of the club; Robinson is the first woman in the club’s 68-year history to be elected as Second Vice President.
Robinson, who is the owner of AR & Company PR & Marketing, located in downtown Paso Robles, was the second woman to join the club when she became a member in 2007. Since then, she has become an exceptionally active club member. Not only does she serve as Public Relations Director, donating in-kind hours of her agency’s time to promote the Lions Club, she also acts as club photographer and Chair of the Paso Robles Student Speaker Contest. Additionally, she donates her time to community service projects.
Lions Clubs International strives to be a “leader in community and humanitarian service.” This same sentiment describes Robinson to a T. Born in Paso Robles, Robinson is a 26-year county resident. In 2008, Robinson was voted “Lion of the Year,” a high honor bestowed on her based on her dedication to the core humanitarian values held by the Lions Club organization such as generosity, compassion and concern for others less fortunate.
“I am excited to serve as Second Vice President of a club that does so much for Paso Robles, and to continue to extend the spirit of Lions Club throughout the community,” said Robinson.
