Although Bandhavgarh is a relatively small park in the last few years this former game reserve has become one of India's most prominent National Parks. The major reason for all the interest is Bandhavgarh's high density of tigers, which roam the mixed forests of sal and bamboo in search of an easy kill. The tigers have not only bolstered the local population by breeding successfully, they have also brought international media attention to the park and the plight of the Royal Bengal Tiger.
Situated on doorstep of Bandhavgarh National Park ‘The Land of White Tigers’ in a local village ‘Tala’, Tiger’s Den Resort, Bandhavgarh offers you a location advantage that no other resort in the area does. This small boutique resort was designed, conceptualized and is managed by professionals from the hotel industry. The elegantly appointed 20 cottages with verandas and luxurious bathrooms are set amidst the beautiful lush and tranquil surroundings overlooking the gigantic hills of Vindhyachal ranges.
The ‘Sita Madhi’ restaurant with Indian and Continental cuisine; and barbeques by the bon-fire at ‘Gazebo’ are already legendary and caters for the guests dinning experience. Wind down with a book from the library, be fascinated by a wildlife film show, slide show or tribal dance at ‘Aangan Amphitheatre or just relax in the veranda of your cottage. Choose to trace the tiger and wildlife during a morning or afternoon safari in the Bandhavgarh National Park in either 4 x 4 jeeps or sitting comfortably in a ‘howdah’ on an elephant guided by an experience Mahout. Take a stroll around the beautiful landscapes of Tiger’s Den Resort, Bandhavgarh, accompanied by the resident naturalist, learn about medicinal plants & Indian Mythology, drive up to Bandhavgarh Fort, walk to the Baghel Museum, go bird watching, enjoy nature walks or visit the local village where time stands still.
