Risk management solutions company, Cadmus Solutions Ltd, have successfully completed a project on the reactivated Semi-Submersible Petrolia.

Rig operators Petrolia Drilling (UK) Ltd are the latest company to have adopted the Cadmus WISER-risk workplace risk assessment and information management system as part of the reactivation programme for the second-generation semi-sub.

The adoption of WISER-risk underlines Petrolia Drilling’s commitment to safety procedures and safe work practices, which is in line with the industry’s Step Change in Safety initiatives.

The project was worth a five figure sum to Aberdeen-based Cadmus Solutions, which provides solutions aimed at the drilling industry and small to medium enterprise (SME) sector and employs a team of both risk management and software professionals.

The overall purpose of WISER is to ensure that workplace hazards are effectively managed so that operations can be undertaken safely and efficiently.

Cadmus managing director, Ian McLean, said: "The WISER product has generated major interest from several UK and international drilling companies, contractors and operators.

“Critical to its success is ensuring that the client and workforce have ownership of the process and its outputs with the result that it is easy to use and makes life simpler and safer.

“We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Petrolia Drilling (UK) Ltd. Our approach is to build long-term relationships tailored to individual client needs and we are confident that we will continue to experience rapid growth."
