RemixGalaxy.com announced today that it had entered into an exclusive digital distribution agreement to host content from industrial music pioneers Die Warzau. The agreement will initially make available to music fans 18 of Die Warzau’s best know hits, including “Land of the Free” “Strike to the Body” and “I’ve Got to Make Sense,” all in multi-track form for remixing under non-commercial personal-use license. Also included are 2 new songs from Die Warzau’s latest offering from 2008, the greatest hits compilation “Vinyl88.” In addition, RemixGalaxy will offer the entire Die Warzau collection in traditional high-quality MP3 and lossless WAV formats.
“As an early Die Warzau fan, I am particularly excited to add them to our catalog of multi-track music for remixing,” said Kyle Reed, CEO of RemixGalaxy.com. “They are legends in the electronic music genre, and I know that our users will be eager to get their hands on the stems and start remixing.”
Van Christie, one half of the musical duo, said “We are happy to introduce our music to our old fans and bring it to new listeners in the unique format that RemixGalaxy provides. I’ll definitely be checking in on the site now and again to listen to the remixes people are making.”
Membership at RemixGalaxy.com is free and gives users access to a wide variety of songs in different genres in multi-track form, where the different elements of the song (vocals, drums, bass, etc.) are in separate audio files for remixing. The multi-track files are high-quality audio tracks created from the original master recordings. Members can post their remixes on the website where anyone can listen to, rate and review them.
