The Horsham Township Library hosts celebrity chef Maria Liberati for a special book signing and cooking demonstration that includes a sample dinner. Author of the bestselling book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking, Maria Liberati is considered one of the foremost experts on Italian cuisine and culture. On October 5 from 6:30 pm. to 8:30 pm. Maria will be demonstrating how to create three authentic Italian recipes right from her book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking.
The demonstration will consist of a green salad, coffee, dessert and sampler dinner which includes the three recipes from her cook book, Torta Salata, Gatto, and Risotto Parmigiana. Along with the demonstration, Maria Liberati will be signing copies of her book. This event is $40 which includes the full sampler dinner and demo, or $55 which includes the full sampler dinner, demo and specially autographed copy of The Basic Art of Italian Cooking. Space is limited and you must preregister by September 28.
Maria Liberati (marialiberati.com) is regularly featured in many national and international publications and has been called the "Italian Martha Stewart" by Celebrity Society Magazine (June 2006). Her newest cook book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking: Holidays & Special Occasions which is set to release in September 2009, consists of recipes for holidays such as Christmas Eve, New Years, Valentine’s Day and Carnevale which can turn any event into a special occasion.
