New York, NY, United States, 2009/07/13 - Lynn Horowitz of Resources Global Professionals (Resources) will share best practices around FASB’s Accounting Standards Codification on July 16, 2009 at 12 p.m. EST via webcast (NASDAQ: RECN).
“On July 1, FASB launched its Accounting Standards Codification as the single source of authoritative U.S. GAAP other than guidance issued by the SEC,” said Lynn Horowitz, consultant at Resources. “The codification simplifies user access to all authoritative U.S. GAAP by reorganizing current U.S. GAAP into one topically organized source.
This webcast should make this tool easier to navigate by highlighting best practices.’’
Participants will gain an understanding of the background, content, and structure of the FASB Accounting Standards Codification. In addition, there will be an overview on how to access the Codification and research tools available.
Ms. Horowitz has 25 years of accounting experience including corporate financial reporting and accounting under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS. She spent 13 years at both AT&T and ADP.
