Beit Al Khair Society, a renowned organization set up by philanthropists in the UAE to provide humanitarian services to the needy, has signed a contract with ProTeleCo, an international telecommunication solution provider, to upgrade its current basic server key communication platform to Avaya’s latest IP Telephony systems. The five year contract involves installation of the VOIP infrastructure at the head office and seven branches across the UAE, which will greatly increase system availability and enhance communication between the various branches and head office. ProTeleCo will also provide support and maintenance to ensure that the system functions at optimal levels.
Mr. Abdeen Taher Al-Awadi, Deputy General Manager, Media & Logistics, Beit Al Khair Society said: “As an organization, we have been expanding rapidly in terms of number of employees, branches, social projects and tie-ups with other charitable organizations, necessitating the implementation of a superior and efficient communication system that has IP at its core. Our society acts as a bridge between contributors and those depending on these contributions, and we need to have the most up-to-date communication platform to ensure constant and easy accessibility to both these groups. This initiative is in line with our objective of upgrading the working standard for humanitarian services in the UAE.”
ProTeleCo will install Avaya Media Server and Avaya Media Gateway in the head office and SLS Gateways in the branches with a current capacity of 130 users. The solution will provide VOIP communication between all of Beit Al Khair Branches as extension to extension calls and will provide the organization full control on all inbound and outbound calls. The SLS Gateways were chosen in order to continue utilising telephony services at the branches even if the internet link with the head office is not stable. The Avaya PBX is powered with built-in capabilities for Voice Mail and Auto Attendant, which will enrich the customer experience by providing high flexibility in handling routing of the calls and getting through faster to the required person or department.
