TAMBA will be creating a viral game, which is due to launch in August, to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to SockShop.co.uk.
Originally a global high street brand, Sock Shop launched in 1983. The company was sold in 2006 to The Ruia Group, whose brands include Jeep, Glenmuir and Elle. Sock Shop subsequently became an exclusive online retailer; specialising in socks and hosiery from brands such as Nike, Pretty Polly and Pringle.
The microsites are currently being created for Sock Shop sub-brands to offer customers new and bespoke ways of shopping online.
“We are confident that a viral game will create an online buzz about SockShop.co.uk; introducing new customers to our wide range of products and customer service,” said Cassie Ash, Marketing Manager at SockShop.co.uk. “TAMBA is hugely experienced in the viral industry, and presented us with creative gaming ideas that represented our products and will highlight SockShop.co.uk’s role as a popular online retailer.”
SockShop.co.uk first launched in 2004. The site features 26 hosiery brands.
"Sock Shop is a renowned British brand with an excellent, specialist website offering a huge product range,” said Kay Hammond, CEO of TAMBA. “Designing a viral game to complement the company’s fashionable themes is an ideal brief for TAMBA. The game will attract new customers, boost newsletter subscription and increase online brand awareness.”
