Calloway’s Nursery is one of four companies in the nation to receive a 2009 Innovator of the Year Award from Garden Center magazine. In addition to the honor, the company was also featured in the June issue of the magazine.
“Calloway’s has always had a friendly, hard-working staff,” Yale Youngblood, Garden Center editor, remarked. “But its recent push to better link with its market has clearly struck a chord with customers and potential customers.”
Some of these marketing initiatives include the development of a free Garden Club where members receive special discounts, coupons, and exclusive news; gardening events that provide a free, fun, and learning environment for children during the summer months; and various gardening contests and promotions.
