In January of 2008 High Tide Creative was given a very rare opportunity to design a custom paint job for a newly restored JEEP CJ7. Darlene Spivey, of Trenton, asked the agency if they would be wiling to donate graphics for the JEEP with the intention of promoting breast cancer awareness. Spivey is the Association Executive for the Neuse River Region Association of REALTORS and a sixteen-year survivor of breast cancer. Rebuilding and customizing the old JEEP was a way to promote awareness and a way to keep her mind focused on something positive.
After three long years the JEEP finally made its debut at the Craven County Relay for Life event. ”The final results were amazing. I worked with lots of wonderful people that were willing to donate their time and talents and everything finally paid off,” said Spivey. The graphics generated by High Tide Creative were a dynamic combination of pink flames taking on the form of cancer ribbons. “Our team had a lot of fun with this project and we were pleasantly surprised with the final outcome. The paint job stayed very true to our design and far exceeded our expectations. We’re extremely proud to be a part of something so personal, while having the ability to promote cancer awareness in a big way, says Tom Lewis, Vice President and Creative Director for High Tide Creative.
