Grants To You, a national non-profit organization, is pleased to announce that online classes will be available this month through their website at our website.
Grants To You classes provide training to volunteers who want to assist their favorite, local non-profit agency with their grant research and writing. These classes were originally only available through local chapters established in 10 states. With the creation of online classes, access to these wonderful classes is virtually limitless.
“I am thrilled that we will have these classes available to literally anyone interested in helping a local non-profit organization.” stated Paul Baskin. “Our class instructors are typically professionals in grants writing who work or formerly worked in school systems, in government or for non-profit organizations, and now with the invaluable assistance of Joy Simon, our Teaching/Consulting advisor, it will be possible for all those outside the vicinity of GTU chapters to take the class online.” He added.
The GTU online classes are also a perfect fit for students who need to fulfill community service credits. At only $59 for the cost of the class, it is not only far more affordable than so many other programs available, but also a fantastic way for students to learn how they can help in their communities.
Paul Baskin founded Grants To You (formerly Grants for You) in 2001 in order to utilize the untapped talent and availability of primarily senior citizens and students to help their favorite, local non-profit organization with their never ending quest for funds by assisting them with their grant research and writing.
In 2007, Grants To You (grantstoyou.org) became a non-profit corporation in good standing with the State of Arizona under the name The Lifespan Foundation dba Grants To You. Since its inception, GTU has grown from two chapters to 23 located in the States of New York, Florida, Indiana, Georgia, California, Oklahoma, Ohio, Delaware, North Carolina and Arizona. South Carolina, Texas and New Jersey are waiting in the wings. GTU’s successes are measurable:
- 513 Volunteers graduated;
- Over $700,000 won by volunteers (very conservative);
- 257 local agencies selected by volunteers during class registration.
Persons interested in taking a class and/or starting a local chapter can contact Mr. Baskin for more information, or visit the website.
