International Playthings, LLC is pleased to announce their partnership with UK-based Ecotronic Ltd. for distribution of their planet friendly, techno fun line that consists of electronic toys that do not require any batteries! Combating the wasteful nature of the toy industry, in relation to battery use and over packaging, Ecotronic™ incorporates a new way of bringing toys to life.
An enormous amount of energy goes into the production of batteries, especially when you consider the disproportionately small amount of energy that they produce. Of the billions of batteries sold in the United States every year-- many of them for use in toys--only about 1% are recycled. Taking this ecological toll into consideration, Ecotronic toys were developed to function just like regular electronic toys, but they use an entirely different kind of energy. Dynamo technology inside of each toy converts a shake, squeeze or crank into energy that powers lights and sounds and other electronic functions. Since kid-powered energy is a highly renewable energy source, Ecotronic toys will never run out of juice!
The conscientious nature of Ecotronic doesn’t stop at the way the toys are powered. All Ecotronic toys are packaged in their specially developed Gekopak™ packaging, which is made of recycled paper and is completely bio-degradable. It’s also easy to open and free from ties, wires or other packing materials.

These portable FM radios never run out of juice! Each radio features push button tuning and a headphone jack. By using the crank on the back of each radio, kids can easily crank their radios to power. Additionally, the crank-powered rechargeable energy can be used to charge cell phones, using the included mobile phone charging cable and 5 adaptors.
Farm Flashlights
Featuring four different assorted animals, these squeeze-powered, kid-sized flashlights are lighting the way with kid-generated energy. Using the side lever that stores inside the body, kids can release and squeeze to charge up the light. Also, when switched on, each animal’s nose lights up!
Eco Rocket
Using a hand crank to charge up this super cool rocket ship, kids will hear a realistic countdown, watch launchers power up, and finally BLAST OFF! with flashing lights and cool sounds. The Eco Rocket includes a removable cockpit hatch, while the hand crank stores neatly in the body.
Eco Mic
Kids become eco-Pop Stars with this crank-powered electronic microphone! Using 4 different buttons to activate voice amplification, music to sing along to, and 2 different drum sounds, the Eco Mic is all-in-one music band, with a color-changing light show.
Mr. Robot Head
This classic toy has a revolutionary new twist. Kids try to move the wand from one side to the other without touching the wire.
