For the second year in a row, INVISTA’S CORDURA® brand team is sponsoring Backpacker magazine’s Get Out More Tour. Designated tour ambassadors Randy and Sherri Propster will hit the trail in April to put the brand’s durable products to the test. As the magazine’s ninth cross-country tour, the event will include more than 50 venues and reach more than 55,000 hikers, campers and outdoor aficionados.
“With all the excitement surrounding the launch of our new brand campaign that focuses on durable people, we are excited to set out on another adventure with the Get Out More team,” says Cindy McNaull, global brand manager for INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand. “We are honored to once again collaborate with our key brand customers and longtime users of CORDURA® fabrics to equip the Propsters with some of the most innovative and enduring outdoor products on the market.”
Through the Get Out More Tour, the brand will heighten awareness among outdoor enthusiasts about the versatility of CORDURA® fabrics through many well-known brands that use the durable, long-lasting fabrics. This year’s product line-up includes:
• Osprey® Atlas Technical Pack;
• Osprey® Aura Technical Pack;
• Granite Gear Chief Patrol Pack;
• Granite Gear Nimbus Meridian Backpack;
• Big Agnes® Royal Flush 3 Tent;
• JanSport® Soloist Backpack.
New this year, outdoor enthusiasts will also be able to track the whereabouts of the Get Out More Tour through the brand’s new interactive Website. The content rich, user-friendly site supports the brand’s new motto “As Long As the World is Full of Durable People, We’ll Keep Making Durable Fabrics,” and allows end-users of the fabric to learn more about INVISTA’s fabric technology and the benefits of using products made with CORDURA® fabric.
Making a special appearance on selected stops during this year’s tour is world-renowned explorer and spokesperson for the CORDURA® brand, Helen Thayer. As the first woman to make a solo trek to the magnetic North Pole, Thayer will offer book signings and retailer training sessions at several stops along the tour. Attendees will also have the opportunity to shop one-on-one with Thayer and other members of the tour as they select the packs, tents, footwear and apparel needed for their next outdoor adventure.

Attendees of these tour stops will get an inside look at the latest in outdoor gear and apparel, as well as tips and advice from the industry’s favorite duo – the Propsters.
