Shermco Charities, founded by Shermco Industries for charitable endeavors, recently made a significant donation to the United Way of South Central Oklahoma to assist families who lost their homes in the February tornadoes.
The United Way donation carries on Shermco’s spirit of giving which started in December 2008 upon donating a total of $15,000 to three families affected by Hurricane Ike in Orange, Texas.
“Shermco and its employees share concern for those hit by the recent tornados in Oklahoma, and we are happy to give our assistance in helping victims through a difficult recovery,” said Ron Widup, executive vice president of Shermco, “Our company does electrical damage restoration services for many cities and companies affected by natural disasters and that’s how our charitable endeavors have evolved. We usually find out about employees or residents most devastated and feel compelled to reach out.”
