As the world mulls over the current economic crisis, there is a more sinister storm brewing in the background. The global economy will eventually rebound but the change in population structures around the world, combined with an aging Western economy is the next perfect storm. The current talent shortage and expanding leadership gap will result in companies aggressively competing to find, deploy and nurture the best leadership bench they can put together. This is one of the many top-line leadership issues addressed in the new book, Redefining Leadership, geared towards companies and executives in the Asia Pacific region.
One of the first books to explore corporate leadership in Asia Pacific, Redefining Leadership: Competing in Asia in the 21st Century (ISBN: 978-0470-82435-1, published by John Wiley & Sons (Asia) Pte Ltd) assembles the rich intellectual capital generated by on-the-ground experts. Through the looking glasses of experts in this domain, this book offers knowledgeable commentary and tangible solutions to the many leadership challenges that companies are experiencing in their day-to-day operations.
