Guests staying at the luxurious Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa now benefit from digital services direct to their rooms, combining HD digital TV entertainment, secure high-speed internet services. Furthermore, guests can also enjoy high-speed wireless internet connectivity in the hotel’s open areas and conference facilities, where iBAHN will also offer full support for events.
The Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa is thought to be the first hotel in Egypt to install an IPTV technology solution that offers visually stunning HD images as well as SD (Standard Definition) formats to facilitate the widest choice of TV channels. The IP-based technology also means that hotels can make considerable cost savings by using existing Ethernet (Cat6e) and coaxial cable networks.
Following the installation, the hotel can now integrate guest services in its 246 rooms with entertainment packages, offering multiple revenue streams and improving guest satisfaction through the system’s ease of use combined with greater choice of high quality entertainment. iBAHN also offers 24-hour technical support to guests through its help desk as well as a unique Virtual Private Network (VPN) certification programme for corporate customers to ensure that business guests can connect easily and safely to their corporate networks.
