Grand Valley Health Plan is proud to announce their latest effort to assist Grand Rapids’ families. Beginning June 1, 2009 Grand Valley Family Health Centers will offer health care services through MIChild, Michigan’s state sponsored health insurance program for children. In partnership with the Michigan Department of Community Health, children who qualify for the MIChild program can have all of their health care needs met at any of GVHP’s Family Health Centers. The MIChild program provides comprehensive benefits, including regular check-ups, immunizations, dental, vision, prescription medication, and mental health for only $10 a month per family.

In addition to MIChild, Grand Valley Family Health Centers introduced GVHP PrimeCare in 2006. This program provides an individual 4 visits a year with a GVHP Family Health provider for just $190.00. An alternate option offers 8 visits for $360 per year. There are no office visit co-pays required, and an Installment Plan is available for those concerned with paying a large up-front sum.
Grand Valley Family Health Centers also directly accept those covered by Traditional Medicare or who are enrolled in TRICARE, the United States Military health insurance program.
