NSHMBA's scholarship program awards scholarships to full and part time students attending or planning to attend accredited MBA programs in the fall of 2006. Selected recipients are eligible to receive awards ranging from $2,500 to $5,000, with part-time students receiving $1,500. Students interested in applying must meet the following requirements: United States citizenship or legal permanent residency, Hispanic heritage (one parent fully Hispanic or both parents half Hispanic), 3.0 grade point average, NSHMBA membership and future or current enrollment in an accredited MBA program in the United States or Puerto Rico.

In response to the value and significance of these scholarship opportunities, Elva Caballero, Education and Professional Development Manager for NSHMBA stated, “Our scholarships provide financial support and more importantly, a vote of confidence to Hispanic MBA students that NSHMBA is dedicated in their professional development.”

Students interested in applying should visit the NSHMBA website and complete the application process by June 1, 2006. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, work experience, personal statement of goals and aspirations, community service, letters of recommendation and financial need.
