Colliers International and News Digital announces a new collaboration: "k:now". "k:now", a desktop widget streams information as it happens from not only The Australian, the Wall Street Journal and Colliers International but it also monitors the share price of A-REITS and other corporates with significant real estate portfolios.
The K:NOW (an acronym for 'Know what's happening Now') widget is a first for the Australian property industry providing investors and corporate real estate executives a window on the property industry with three distinct views - latest property industry news, current ASX conditions and the latest updates from the world of Colliers International.

Widgets are not new technology, intuitively built into the latest Mac and Vista operating platforms and are syndicated through platforms such as Google Gadgets and Yahoo Widgets, but their business application is still relatively new. Akin to email 10 years ago, when it's use as a mainstream business communications tool was burgeoning, it is expected that widgets will have the same future and will be a key informational tool used in every-day business.
K:NOW represents a first for the property industry and according David Finnimore, Online Marketing Manager at Colliers International who designed K:NOW, it represents only a starting point. "Our vision for K:NOW is for it to become a vital information tool, used by the entire industry, with further collaborations with industry players planned in the near future".
