Grand Valley Family Health Centers originally introduced GVHP PrimeCare in 2006. The program was initially targeted at college-age people without health insurance. GVHP PrimeCare 'Basic' provides an individual 4 visits with a GVHP Primary Care Provider over the course of a 12-month period for just $190.00. Most standard primary care services, including sick care, annual physicals, x-rays, diagnostic lab services and discounts on over-the-counter medications are included.
The GVHP PrimeCare program has now been expanded in an effort to meet the needs of people in West Michigan who are without healthcare coverage due to job loss or benefit cuts brought on by the troubled economy. This alternate option, called GVHP PrimeCare 'Access' offers 8 visits for $360 per year. There is no office visit co-pay required, and an installment plan is available for those concerned with affording the cost as an up-front sum.
Grand Valley Family Health Centers is the Primary Care delivery system of Grand Valley Health Plan. As the first certified Patient Centered Medical Home in Michigan, Grand Valley Family Health Providers are dedicated to the principle that the best care begins and ends with personal relationships, cost-effective treatment, and the highest quality standards.
