Veeam Software, award-winning provider of systems management tools for VMware virtual datacenter environments, today outlined its support for VMware vSphere™ 4, announced today by VMware. The nworks Management Pack (MP) for VMware vSphere 4 for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager and the nworks Smart Plug-in (SPI) for VMware vSphere 4 for HP Operations Manager allow IT organizations to leverage their existing investments in Microsoft and HP service management solutions to monitor and manage VMware’s operating system for building the internal cloud. The Veeam nworks products will fully support VMware vSphere 4 immediately upon its general availability.

The foundational technology behind both Veeam nworks products, the nworks Collector, gathers data using the VMware vSphere 4 API, and transforms this information into natively consumable data for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager and HP Operations Manager for Windows and Unix. Close integration into the Ops Mgr Health Model and OM Service Tree frees IT operations staff to focus on the task of running IT, not integrating new technology.
At the same time, Veeam also announced its commitment to fully support VMware vSphere 4 and VMware vCenter Server via Veeam’s other products within 90 days of vSphere general availability.
