Health Information Technology is leading change in all aspects of clinical medicine, including laboratory science. In order for Medical Technologist students to be fully prepared for their future, they need to be exposed to the technology that they will be expected to use in a laboratory environment. Under today's curriculum, students are not always educated on the use of a laboratory information system.
