e-VERIFILE.Com, Inc, is pleased to announce that it has launched e-RAILSAFE ShortLine--- the latest in the company’s line of e-RAILSAFE branded services. The new service is based on the successful e-RAILSAFE Class 1 service which was instituted in 2006 by the 7 major railroads operating in the United States.
e-RAILSAFE ShortLine (ERS-ShortLine) was designed exclusively for Short Line and Regional Railroad systems and enables managers to easily facilitate personnel screening, compliance awareness, and workplace credentialing for their employees and contractors.
“Smaller railroads have the same needs as larger ones, but less manpower to accomplish them,” says Devon Wijesinghe, e-VERIFILE’s Chief Strategy Officer. “ERS- ShortLine gives them the same abilities as the big guys at an affordable price,” Wijesinghe added.
To use ERS-ShortLine, railroad operators and related enterprises simply subscribe to the service and login to create their own Workplace Compliance program(s). Once an account has been established, these organizations then require their personnel and/or contractors to become subscribers and then login to comply with the program(s). Successful compliance with the programs determines eligibility to access select railroad facilities and jobsites or to receive associated credentials.
No additional software or equipment is required and ERS-ShortLine can be securely accessed from any PC, anywhere at any time. Short Line and Regional Railroads and their contractors can subscribe, login and manage the entire process from one, easy-to-use, web-based platform at ers-shortline.com.
e-VERIFILE, through its railroad clients, has worked with the Association of American Railroads( AAR) and is a member of the American Short Line & Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA), and The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) where it serves on the Risk Assessment Workgroup.
