Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos, recently rated the “#2 Hottest Caribbean Destination” by the Travel Channel, celebrated its successful first year with a monumental anniversary celebration this past weekend. Themed around “Flavors of the Caribbean,” the event boasted a guest list of over 1,000 attendees from local residents to incoming travelers, all prepared to party in style. Flown in exclusively for the Nikki Beach soiree was reggae star Maxi Priest, a legendary recording artist who upped the ante for the celebration.
Guests enjoyed Caribbean cuisine and cocktails sponsored by Bambarra Rum, while Lee and The Force Band, DJ RO-Z, Cirque Fire Performers and DJ Kaval kept the music spinning into the night. But it wasn’t until Maxi Priest took the stage that set the tone for the evening as he treated the crowd to a medley of classic covers and some of his greatest hits from the last three decades.
